Non-premium and contract-free juniors receive a percentage of the national minimum wage. The percentages correspond to the age-based percentage range in the Miscellaneous Award. Each year, the Fair Work Commission reviews both the national minimum wage and minimum wage rates under bonuses (annual salary review). Most changes begin with the first full salary period on or after July 1. Minimum wages apply to all workers aged 16 and over, who are full-time, part-time, part-time, casual, casual and unitary and who are paid on wages, wages, commissions or schedules (some exceptions). The National Minimum Wage Regulation 2020 [PR719660] sets the following wages for workers who are not covered by an enterprise agreement or a modern bonus. For example, a worker who works only 2 hours in a row must continue to receive the minimum wage for each of these hours, unless the employee and the employer have accepted a higher rate in the employment contract.
